POW STOKE FEST

  • The Mountain Project 507 Bond Street Bozeman, MT, 59715 United States (map)

Stoke Fest is back. This year, it's bigger than the mountains.

Join Protect Our Winters for an unforgettable night of films, community, and inspiration.

After another winter of thin snowpack across the West, wild weather swings, and shifting seasons made one thing clear: protecting the places we love can't wait. With midterm elections this November, the outdoor community has a real shot to make its voice heard where it counts.

POW brings together world-class storytelling by connecting our love for the outdoors to meaningful climate action. Through premiere films, athlete stories, and conversations with local leaders and organizers, you'll see how skiers, riders, bikers, runners, and outdoor lovers are showing up this year, at the ballot box and beyond, to protect the seasons we live for.

Your ticket includes:

  • Premieres of inspiring outdoor films

  • Conversations with POW athletes, filmmakers, and community leaders

  • A voter engagement hub: check your registration, get election dates, and see what's on the ballot in your state

  • Opportunities to connect with local outdoor and climate organizations

  • Giveaways, prizes, and POW merch

  • Actionable ways to help protect the places we all love, this fall and beyond

Featured films include:

The Mind is The Environment (~5-8min): The Mind is the Environment is an abstract animated short exploring the connection between mindfulness, consciousness, and climate action. Created by POW Creative Alliance member Nico Schiavone, the film blends surreal, dreamlike visuals with poetic storytelling to show how being present can reconnect us to nature and inspire change. The animation is equal parts meditative and mind-bending, inviting viewers to step out of constant thought and into deeper connection. By merging art, philosophy, and climate awareness, the project reminds us that the environment isn’t something separate from us; it’s something we are, and something we can protect together.

Shining Mountains (~17min) Over the course of two weeks, Mike Foote and his team will weave a never-before-attempted route through 22 of the 24 named glaciers of Glacier National Park not visible to the public. As part of this documentary film, he will also meet with members of the local scientific community (USGS) and Blackfeet Tribe to gain insight into what the loss of a perennial water source means for this landscape and the people that call it home.

FILM PREMIERE: To Hill and Back (26 min) Few things in life are endless. The absurdity and perpetual nature of the “Last Skier Standing” competition come close. It's also a mirror to professional skier Brody Leven’s longtime commitment to volunteer climate advocacy (and standing up for the planet and its people, in general). Against all odds, Leven moves uphill and into the literal and figurative headwinds of competition and civic participation, driven by the relentless effort required to make progress in both. To Hill And Back asks a universal question: “How do we continue showing up to the starting line, even when the odds feel stacked against us?” While rooted in climate advocacy, the film ultimately speaks to anyone navigating burnout, uncertainty, or the challenge of believing their efforts still matter.
