War on Jugs: BlackLight Competition + Party

Get stoked—War on Jugs is back with The Mountain Project’s first annual black light bouldering competition and party! The theme is Under the Sea. Chalk up, warm up, and get ready for a night of high-energy competition, neon vibes, and serious prizes.

Event Highlights

  • Expect a legendary black light competition and party: climb under UV lights for a surreal, glowing atmosphere. Bright tape, fluorescent holds, and black lights make every problem pop.

  • Format: Multiple rounds of boulder problems for open and beginner ability divisions.

  • Prize money: top competitors will take home cash payouts. Compete hard—the podium pays.

  • Sick raffle prizes (for competitors, and spectators): win top-tier gear, climbing accessories, and exclusive merch. Raffle tickets are included with admission, and additional tickets are available for purchase.

  • Live DJ: beat-driven soundtrack to keep the tempo high between problems and during the party set featuring @djspearience.

  • Food + drink: local eats and refreshments on-site to fuel and celebrate.

  • Limited spots: competitor sign-ups are limited—don’t wait.

  • Spectator access: limited spectator tickets available. Anyone can come cheer on the competitors, enter the raffle, enjoy free food/drink, and climb under the black lights after the comp is over. Bring friends, cheer loud, enjoy the party vibe, and open climb after the comp!

Schedule:
Competition: 3 - 6 pm
Open Climb and Party: 6 - 9 pm

Wear: Everyone is encouraged to dress up in neon colors “under the sea” theme that pop under blacklight.

Cost:
Competition Registration: $15. Limited athlete spots!
Spectator Tickets: $10. Purchase online or at the door! Limited tickets!

Admission includes: Food, drinks, party, and a raffle ticket
